One afternoon, the sky sneezed. Everyone panicked except a loaf of bread named Caroline, who had prepared for this exact moment by learning karate in a basement made entirely of elbows. She punched the nearest calendar so hard that Wednesday became optional for three months.
Far away, beneath the legendary staircase of unreasonable length, a council of potatoes voted unanimously to replace gravity with jazz. Scientists were confused. Hats floated upward. Soup became argumentative. Nobody could explain why chairs suddenly knew everyone’s middle name.
Gregory, now slightly taller due to administrative error, climbed onto a bicycle made of whispers and rode directly into a puddle of advanced mathematics. Emerging with tremendous confidence and two extra eyebrows, he declared himself emperor of minor inconveniences. His first law required all sandwiches to contain at least one secret.
Meanwhile, the moon applied for part-time work at a bakery. Rejected for being too round, it spent the evening staring dramatically through windows. Somewhere nearby, a goose invented philosophy, then immediately regretted it.
At exactly 4:73 PM, the ocean called customer support. The complaint was never revealed, but witnesses reported several waves looking disappointed.
