In competitive Pokémon singles, different tiers (Over Used, Under Used, etc.) are used to separate Pokémon and put them against others of a similar power level. We have translated this concept into Splatoon by identifying the strongest and most commonly used weapons (i.e. the "Over Used" weapons of Splatoon) and banning them, effectively creating an "Under Used" (UU) Splatoon meta! We have simplified things by diving weapons into 2 categories: banned and allowed, so weapons like both Splattershots, Ballpoint Splatlings and .96 Deco are banned, but both Jr.'s, Heavy Splatlings and regular .96 Gal are all allowed, among many others!
