NA League 2026 Event #6 (Regular Season Week 4)
A fierce fight for the last Top 8 slots sees several familiar faces taking a backseat this week
On Saturday, May 9, Nintendo’s Splatoon 3 North American League continued into its fourth week of the Regular Season. This event marked an important milestone for teams who had played every Regular Season week so far: only the top four weekly scores count toward Playoffs eligibility. Any lower weekly point totals earned past a team’s highest four are not applied.
This week saw the return of teams already acquainted with the 2026 League’s Top 8 stream:
- Duck Motif
- FORFEIT
- Content Cat
- Ayanokoji
- Cream Soda
- Healbook
- SCUBA
- Swarm
Notable exceptions are Ayanokoji and Cream Soda, but both have placed well in the Ladder Round. Cream Soda is familiar with the Top 8 stream regardless, as all of the players were either part of Five or FTWin in 2025 and were critical players in last year’s stream. Another note about Cream Soda is that last week, they played as CS, finally getting their runback at the stream after losing out on the previous opportunity.
Several teams that one would expect to see on stream were caught up in a hairline race for the last top cut slots. This week’s top teams were very close in Peak ELO, with ranks 7 through 11 (SCUBA, Swarm, Moonlight, SIZA, Collision, respectively)—and the bottom two seeds for the top cut stream—being decided by one single point.
With Piko providing the best view for the action that unfolded, Zach, Falco, and Lily were clocked in at the commentator’s table and broke it all down for the viewers. Despite the eight teams who participated, most of the sets that were streamed were between the same four teams.
Winner’s Finals: FORFEIT vs. Cream Soda (3–2)
By the time Winner’s Finals rolled around, the stream had seen Content Cat vs. Healbook (0–3) and Duck Motif vs. Cream Soda (1–3). Ayanokoji, SCUBA, Swarm, and Duck Motif were eliminated.
Game one kicked off at Inkblot Art Academy for… you guessed it: Tower Control. Quickly, FORFEIT cleared their first checkpoint, but less than a minute later, Cream Soda followed suit then took the lead. Taking FORFEIT down three players, Cream Soda zoomed through the second and third checkpoints, knocking out at 3:13.
Splat Zones at Mahi-Mahi Resort was second; FORFEIT again took control of the objective first, holding it for almost 40 seconds until being stopped at 56. Halfway through the game, Cream Soda took the lead, extending it to just 7 remaining. FORFEIT crept close, until the score was 10–7, holding the zone in overtime. They brought Cream Soda down to their last player and took the lead, winning 94–93.
Rainmaker at MakoMart saw Cream Soda again lose by one point in overtime. In the first three minutes of the game, they brought the Rainmaker to 30. Things started to go downhill when FORFEIT cleared their first checkpoint in overtime and took down three of Cream Soda’s players. Protected by an Ink Vac, FORFEIT carried the Rainmaker to the lead, being wiped out at the same time, but winning nonetheless, 71–70.
FORFEIT, wiped out with the Rainmaker in overtime, having stolen the lead from Cream Soda regardless.
Game four was Turf War at Urchin Underpass. Most of the game was fought in the middle of the map, without too many breakouts, leading to a very even game. The tides turned in the last 12 seconds as FORFEIT lost two players, letting Cream Soda press forward and paint, winning 58.1%–36.8%.
Game five went to Crableg Capital for Clam Blitz. Cream Soda scored first, to 71, but lost most of their players in the effort. One minute later, despite the similar player disadvantage, FORFEIT snatched the lead. Cream Soda tried another push, but got wiped out before getting ahead. Overtime was narrowly avoided when FORFEIT, missing their first clam toss, opened the basket in the final seconds, winning 43–35.
Loser’s Semifinals: Healbook vs. Content Cat (3–2)
As the first set on stream, both of these teams met in Winner’s Quarterfinals, where Healbook won 3–0 over Content Cat. FORFEIT then sent Healbook to the Loser’s Bracket. These teams would fight over who advanced to face Cream Soda for the first time in Event #6.
The set opened at Crableg Capital for Rainmaker. A little over one minute into the game, Content Cat dunked the Rainmaker into the first checkpoint, then popped the shield and ran it to 4 points to win. After a brief delay, they earned the knockout at 3:31.
Clam Blitz at Shipshape Cargo Co. did see the Splattercolor Screen used, but its effects were not on the livestream, so rewatches of the Nintendo stream are safe to view. Healbook set up a Big Bubbler under the basket to score in the first minute, but were wiped out. They did an excellent job of hoarding the “clam economy”, never letting Content Cat score once. Healbook tied the set 1–1 after their 51–0 victory.
Game three was Tower Control at MakoMart. The first half of the game was all Content Cat, bringing their score to 37. With Len. keeping the ledges locked down with a Blaster, Healbook rewrote the story for the second half of the game, clearing the first checkpoint, then taking the lead as Content Cat lost three players. Although Healbook’s tower rider was splatted, the tower wheeled to the end, giving them the knockout.
Both teams down two players, including adapt, Healbook’s tower rider, who brought the objective to the finish line one tick later to knock out despite being splatted.
Paying back the knockout, Splat Zones at Scorch Gorge was the site of Content Cat’s revenge. They took the lead first, and while Healbook put up a fight, even having the lead in their hands at one point and wiping out Content Cat, Content Cat wiped out Healbook in return, stopping them at 9 ticks to win, and locked their opponent out, earning a knockout and tying the set 2–2.
Game five came down to Hagglefish Market Turf War. The teams tentatively took fights, neither going down more than one player at a time until the final minute. Most of the fights took place in mid. The crux of the game occurred in the last 20 seconds, where Content Cat suffered a delayed wipeout. Healbook won the game, 57.1% - 38.6%.
Loser’s Finals: Cream Soda vs. Healbook (3–2)
Loser’s Finals came down to Cream Soda and Healbook, who were both walking into their third set on Saturday’s stream, and would be duking it out over who got to have their fourth turn in Grand Finals.
Game one was Tower Control at Crableg Capital. It took a few tries, but Cream Soda took the first checkpoint of the game. They moved forward gradually, cautious of overextending. Their push ended at 31, and afterward, Healbook cleared their first checkpoint with two minutes left in the game. In overtime, Cream Soda set up a pincer on both sides of the tower to stop Healbook from advancing, to win 79–38.
Cream Soda’s Hexen and Gos on opposite ends of the tower’s stop at the checkpoint.
The next game was Rainmaker at Inkblot Art Academy. Cream Soda was at an early disadvantage, down three players, letting Healbook clear the first checkpoint and run the Rainmaker to 53. Cream Soda, using their Ink Vac, took the lead to 18, but were wiped out. They later extended the lead to 6, then started to stall in the last leg of the game. They came out of overtime as the victors, 94–56.
Clam Blitz at Mahi-Mahi Resort saw both teams make Power Clams fast, but take a minute and a half to score. Cream Soda’s first score was only one Power Clam. Healbook, on the other hand, brought their score from 100 to 24 in one push. Cream Soda continued to make multiple small pushes to score, and evened the board 25–24. They weren’t able to score in overtime, leading to Healbook winning 76–75.
Game four went to Museum d’Alfonsino for Turf War, but both teams still brought Blasters for offensive power. Less than 30 seconds in, Healbook was wiped out; Cream Soda only had two players standing. As the last minute approached, Healbook had the Danger! indicator overhead. Both teams splatted each other in pairs, but Cream Soda was the last to go down, giving Healbook space to ink ahead, 50.6%–46.6%.
MakoMart Splat Zones was saved for last. The game went down to the wire, as a game five should—the teams traded the zone and the lead, with Healbook being stopped at just one tick to KO with less than 30 seconds on the clock. In overtime, the zone was neutralized. Healbook was wiped out. Cream Soda booyah’d as they took the overtime knockout to win the set, breaking their curse of losing in overtime by one point.
Grand Finals: FORFEIT vs. Cream Soda (0–3)
Grand Finals began the same way as Winner’s Finals: at Inkblot Art Academy Tower Control. It wasn’t so much of a game as it was Cream Soda taking the tower for a scenic joy ride. They experienced little setbacks as they drove through all three checkpoints and won with a knockout at 3:28.
FORFEIT put up more of a fight at Scorch Gorge for Rainmaker. They cleared their checkpoint first, and kept up a strong defense to keep Cream Soda from getting their own. The teams were frequently taking one another down three players or trading wipeouts. Cream Soda didn’t get their first checkpoint until the last 30 seconds, but were able to take the lead before overtime, winning 70–36.
After FORFEIT cleared the first checkpoint, both teams were left with one player standing, just one of many similar instances.
Game three was Splat Zones at Crableg Capital. FORFEIT started with an early lockout; a Triple Splashdown capping the zone saved the game for Cream Soda, stopping FORFEIT at 28. The midpoint of the game had teams applying penalty after penalty on one another, but FORFEIT losing 3/4ths of their players gave Cream Soda the chance to lock out and then knock out…
…Bringing the NA League to yet another Grand Finals Reset!
Grand Finals Reset: FORFEIT vs. Cream Soda (1–3)
Splat Zones started the set at Urchin Underpass. Each team had the lead in the first 30 seconds, but FORFEIT was the one running ahead with it. Cream Soda was stopped 3 ticks short of taking the lead by the middle of the game. FORFEIT found themselves in a delayed wipeout, letting Cream Soda start overtime with the zone, where they held out long enough to take the lead, 87–86.
Game two was Tower Control at Hagglefish Market. In the first 20 seconds, teams were already down half or more of their players; Cream Soda made the most of it and cleared their first checkpoint. Then the second. Despite oftentimes being down more players than FORFEIT, they never let their opponent get a single checkpoint, even in overtime. Cream Soda won for the fifth time in a row, 74–30.
Rainmaker at Museum d’Alfonsino was next. Half of FORFEIT focused on the first checkpoint while the other half skirmished with Cream Soda over by the pit area. FORFEIT brought the Rainmaker to 32, received a delayed wipeout, but still moved another 16 points ahead. Cream Soda doggedly put forward their best effort, but they were wiped out twice, leading to FORFEIT winning 84–64.
Even an Ink Vac and Zipcaster couldn’t stop the determined Hexen from trying to close the gap between scores.
Both teams mirrored a comp of an Order Splatling, Dapple Dualies, and .52 Gal for Clam Blitz at Inkblot Art Academy. Cream Soda had the chance to score first, before losing three players. FORFEIT then outscored Cream Soda by 3 points. A Big Bubbler let Cream Soda sustain a push of about 50 points.
In overtime, behind by 40 points, FORFEIT wiped out Cream Soda and jumped in a Power Clam to open the basket and remove their 10-point penalty. A nearby Power Clam expired before it could be grabbed. Losing most of their team, FORFEIT’s basket closed before any more clams could be scored, awarding Cream Soda the 71–45 victory, the tournament win, and title of team most seen on stream (five sets)!
The conclusion of Regular Season Week 4 means that the season is now halfway over. Four more events are left to participate in, to try earning the highest weekly scores to qualify for the Playoffs in June. Teams need to play in at least four weeks to be eligible, but can keep striving to higher levels to maximize their four-event point output!
